I love the end of the year when you get to find out who the favourite female of 2009 is and the sexiest male of 2009 you get my drift buy most importantly is who is to be crowned Model of the Year 2009!!!

This year the ever so beautiful Daisy Lowe has been nominated at the British Fashion Awards and i really do hope she takes the crown as this girl has the most stunning of looks and she is also a fashion icon. I love the way she can dress down and look glamorous and also dress up and look even more glamorous. She makes herself look effortless and does not try to hard always showing that she is a natural beauty!

She is up against some tough completion including the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Georgia Jagger but fingers cross for Daisy Lowe she is crowned Model of the Year 2009 on December 9th 2009!

The modelling world is a very competitive industry but if you are wanting to be a fashion model different rules seem to apply, you do not need the English Rose skin you need to be “different” have a quirky look about you and a particular style, photographers love this look and can make a breathe taking photo shoot with a model who is unique.

The only rule that tends to apply is that you still need to be over 5’ 8’’ for a woman and 6’ for a man.

If you were to break into the fashion model industry then expect to be used as the face for cosmetics, walking the catwalk for designers and appearing on magazines cover page.

There are several model agencies out there so take the next step in your life and post your CV to them…

I think that Dove campaigns are amazing. Proving that you can be any size, height or shape and still look fabulous!

These women look great and are all “real” women!

The campaign has proved to be a huge success and makes women appreciate that not everyone has to be a size zero to look sexy and feel beautiful.

What i love about the campaign is that all the women are confident and happy and that is all that matters.

Dove sales must have risen since the pictures have been splashed across the pages of our favourite magazines and billboards.

Gisele Bundchen is by far the most successful, beautiful catwalk model there is!

Gisele has been blessed with catwalk model looks from a young age and was discovered at the age of 14 whilst walking around a Brazilian fashion mall now look at her she has been splashed across the most luxurious magazines going from Vogue to Rolling Stones and all other fashion magazines. She is also the face of leading designer brands and will be once again leading the girls at Victoria’s Secret!

The super-model / business women / mum has also bought her own range of shoes out called “Ipanema Gisele Bundchen” that have now sold millions and been a huge successes.

There seriously is no stop in Gisele’s growing success, this is one super model who has definitely earned and deserved her multi million pound fortune, we solute you!!!

I always make sure i attend the show every year if you have not been before here you will find amazing clothes, top range beauty products, models strutting there stuff on the catwalk and the ever so fabulous Gok Wan will be making an appearance!!!

This year the Clothes Show Live will be hosted by Hollyoaks beauty Roxanna McKee who will be dragging along half the cast of Hollyoaks and the likes of Fearne Cotton, George Lamb and Dave Berry will be there!

This is also a good place to be head hunted by model agencies as every year people will be out looking for up-coming models so if this is your dream to be walking the catwalk then dress your best and look gorgeous and hopefully next year you will be on the catwalk and not just looking around!

My all time favourite super model has to be the ever so beautiful Kate Moss! Kate Moss is everything a girl wants to be with her flawless looks, perfect figure and the wardrobe to die for!

I have been a huge fan of Kate’s for a long time and she has been an inspiration to others minus the shamed cocaine scandal.

So anyway lets get to the main topic, Kate Moss has once again hit the headlines for the wrong reasons this time for her quote saying “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” i mean give the girl a rest this has completely been blown out of proportion and the press have cleverly changed the meaning of the saying!

When interviewed and asked for a motto her reply was “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” BUT have people forgotten about what was quickly added to that… “That’s one of them. You try and remember, but it never works.” Showing that Kate Moss does not agree with the term used and doesn’t care less about what she eat’s! Everyone knows that Kate has worked on the catwalk for years now and obviously this is the talk behind the scenes not meaning that she is a believer in it.

Girl’s look at pictures for thinspiration not take on board a quote that has been made so i think people should leave her alone and this motto is used on most anorexia and bulimia sites so why not get these sites permanently banned!

Surely people must agree with me on this one and do not think that Kate’s comments are irresponsible, if she agreed with the moto YES as what was followed by her opinion = BIG NO NO!!!

The big day is getting closer and i am sooo excited it is nearly Victoria’s Secrets catwalk!!! Not only do i love the fabulous show but there is a certain someone appearing flying the flag for Great Britain…welcome Rosie Huntington-Whiteley!!!

At 22 she is one lucky girl and will be alongside Marissa Miller and the rest of the greatest catwalk models.

I am really pleased for Rosie as it all seemed to be going a little downhill for her in 2008 after the press realised pictures of her as to what appeared to be drugs paraphernalia in her hand but then again she was around 18 when those pictures were taken and she has obviously matured since then. We all make mistakes hey!

This is a topic that is always hitting headlines, “should size zero models me banned from the catwalk?”

Everyone has an opinion here and mine is no not at all! The models that stride the catwalk as size zero are usually naturally that slim and there height is extremely tall meaning they look in proportion. The thing is these models look amazing in the clothes and i can not image some of the clothes the models wear being modelled on a larger woman.

I would not say that the models on the catwalk are suffering from eating disorders, maybe the occasional few, but this is the choice these models have chosen and if they were to be banned from the catwalk i very much doubt they will start tucking into Big Mc Meals to put on the extra pounds as these models want to be thin!

As the campaigns continue to ban size zero from the catwalk i can not seeing top designers taking this on board and size zero will still be rocking the catwalk in years to come…

I love David Beckham and Victoria Beckham and found there Emporio Armani photo shoot pictures amazing. They are both stunning and made the Armani Men’s and Women’s underwear look rather sexy indeed!

So i was pretty to surprised to find out that Christiano Ronaldo and Megan Fox have been replaced to be the new face of the collection. Ok so they are both equally gorgeous, especially Megan Fox. I am sure Megan will rock the range to perfection but i am a little unsure on Christiano Ronaldo, he has a great figure but i don’t think he has what you can call model looks like David Beckham.

Well we will just have to wait and see the campaign starts Spring/Summer 2010 so keep your eyes peeled…

Everyone believes that to be a model it means drop-dead-gorgeous looks, 6ft + tall and a size zero figure but how wrong are you!!!

Is your dream to be a model but you do not need to tick all of the above? If so still fulfil your dreams but try modelling in different ways, you might have a stunning pair of hands, immaculate feet or stunning looks but only 5ft in height if that is the case then model your best features.

People will pay you good money to have your stunning face splashed across an advertisement that does not mean you have to be super skinny and tall as you are only modelling your face, the same goes for your teeth or your eyes.

You should always take into consideration that it is very rare in the world that we are born a catwalk model so flaunt your best bits and make the most of what you have been blessed with…
